Dodson Pest Control Wins Better Business Bureau Award

(Lynchburg, VA) - Dodson Pest Control has been named Winner of the Better Business Bureau of Western Virginia's Torch Award for marketplace ethics. The award recognizes businesses that demonstrate their commitment to ethical business practices.


Dodson Pest Control was recognized for exemplifying high ethical standards of behavior to their customers, employees and the communities they serve throughout Western Virginia. The area includes Dodson offices in Lynchburg, Roanoke, Pulaski, Danville, Staunton and Covington.

The Better Business Bureau presented awards in three categories; small, medium and large business. Dodson Pest Control won the large business category. The company has 500 employees.

Over 200 people attended the awards luncheon in Roanoke, VA. Dodson Pest Control President and CEO Bert Dodson, Jr. accepted the award, and thanked the Better Business Bureau for "a very special award that recognizes Dodson's ongoing commitment to our customers and employees."

All entries were judged by an independent panel of business and ethics experts.

Established in 1944, Dodson Pest Control has its corporate headquarters in Lynchburg, and operates 34 offices serving Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Eastern Tennessee and the District of Columbia metropolitan area. It is one of the largest family owned and operated pest control companies in the country.
