Shriners Hospitals and Dodson Bros.
Lynchburg Chapter Shriners Glenn Harvey (center) and Bill Hoffman (left) presented Bert Dodson, Jr. a plaque honoring Dodson Bros longtime commitment to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The first Shriners Hospital opened in 1922 in Shreveport, Louisiana to help children build better lives. There are now 22 Shriner Hospitals offering medical care to children with orthopedic problems, severe burns and spinal cord injuries until they are 18 years old. What sets these hospitals apart is that there is never a charge to the patient, family or third party for any care or services provided.
Bert Dodson, Sr. served as a former President of the Lynchburg Shrine Club and was very devoted to Shriner causes on behalf of children for many years. |
